I am a relative late comer to the world of parenting. I have an amazing wife Sarah and two wonderful children. Our kids have become a huge focus of my life as any new parent can relate to i’m sure. They have renewed a passion of mine for photography and documenting many of the special moments of our little families life has become a bit of an obsession for me. We moved to Salt Spring Island 7 years ago looking for a more rural lifestyle to have a family and enjoy what the country life here on the south coast has to offer. We bought an old farm house from the 1930’s, overlooking Fulford Harbour on the south end of the island and find it to be a wonderful place to raise our 2 kids, 2 dogs, goats and a flock of ducks. I do much of my family photography work here on the island but I am also an avid travel photographer and expedition guide who is up to just about any challenge you can dream up. I offer 3-4 hour portrait lifestyle family sessions, a half day portrait documentary vacation session or full day/weekend  “day in the life” pure documentary storytelling sessions. I also offer kids school sessions for parents looking for a different take on the usual school pictures. With a documentary storytelling approach, there is more emphasis put on capturing true authentic portraits and candid moments full of personality, humour, beauty, and real life.
